William A. Haseltine (PhD), has an active career in both Science and Business.
He was a professor at Harvard Medical School from 1976-1993 where he was Founder
and the Chair of two academic research departments. He is well known for his pioneering work on cancer,
HIV/AIDS and genomics. He has further authored more than 200 manuscripts in peer
reviewed journals and is the author
of several books. He is the Founder of Human Genome Sciences, Inc and served as the Chairman
and CEO of the Company until 2004. He is also the Founder of eight other successful biotechnology companies.
He serves as an advisor to CMEA, a venture capital company, the reliance Innovation Council,
India and to several biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
William A. Haseltine is currently the President is of the Haseltine Foundation for Medical Sciences and the Arts,
a foundation that supports access to high quality health for the poor and middle class of developing countries,
primarily India, the foundation also fosters a dialog between sciences and the arts. He is the Chairman of Haseltine
Global Health, LLC, a company dedicated to creating new and more efficient means to develop new life saving drugs and
medical devices. He is an Adjunct Professor at The Scripps Institute for Medical Research and the Institute of Chemical
Engineering the University of Mumbai, India He is also active in the field of renewable energy. He is Chairman of the Board
of the Berkeley Center for Synthetic Biology.
Dr. Haseltine is active in public service. He is Co-Chair of the President’s Council of the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, a member
of the Advisory Board of the Global Coalition on HIV/AIDS and he is a governor of the New York Academy of Science. He is a member of
the Executive Committee of the Brookings Institution, a member of both the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission,
and a member of the Chairman’s Circle of the Asia Society. He is a Founder of the American Freedom Campaign. He resides in Washington DC and New York City.

John-Michael Lind, Trustee, The Lind Family Trust. Joined Ashmore in 2008 to set up and head the Ashmore India office, bringing
14 years of on-the-ground asset management and investment banking experience in India. Prior to Ashmore, he founded and ran Strategic
Partners, a US-India boutique advisory and investment firm managing proprietary capital based
in Bombay. Prior to Strategic Partners, he was for three years the initial CEO of Tata Telecom Maharashtra (formerly Hughes Ispat), the basic telecom license holder for Maharashtra
and Karnataka. Before moving to India, he was a senior associate at White & Case for two years in London and New York. John-Michael started
his career as a vice president at Salomon Brothers in New York and an associate at O'Sullivan Graev & Karabell. He is a founding member of the
ACCESS Health International.

Blaise Guerrand-Hermès is a financial researcher previously at Strategic Partners, a boutique advisory and investment firm in India, where he focused for two years on financing and restructuring of media and healthcare cross-border companies, and more recently at Ashmore, the leading Emerging Markets asset manager. Prior to that, Blaise started his career as an investment banker with NM Rothschild in London, focusing on equity issuances and capital markets. He holds a MSc. in management from HEC Business School in Paris. His other mandates include Director on the Board of Hermès Sellier in Paris.

Sofi Bergkvist is an economist with focus on efficient health care delivery. She manages the health care initiative collaborating with the Centre for Emerging Markets Solutions (CEMS)
and has a special interest in health finance. Prior to this, Sofi was a health care analyst for a private equity firm with investments in India. She has also worked in management consulting
on outsourcing of public sector services. She was prior to that with UNFPA in Malawi and carried out a cost-effectiveness study of the national Road Map for reduced maternal mortality.
Sofi has also worked as an advisor to the European Commission's Delegation to the United Nations on sustainable development issues. Sofi has a Master of Science degree in International Economics from Stockholm School
of Economics and has studied at the MBA program at McGill in Montreal.

Debarshi Bhattacharya has more than 10 years experience in corporate business development, strategy and general management. Deb has worked in the Indian healthcare sector with Johnson & Johnson Medical over 4 years. He has been instrumental in developing healthcare access strategies in under-developed markets in North and East India and Nepal, focussing on cardiac super-speciality treatments. Debarshi has also conceived and created sustained corporate social collaborations to create more awareness regarding cardiovascular disease and treatment options in North and East India. He is a Mining engineer from Indian School of Mines and holds an MBA from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.

Annapurna Chavali is focused on models for improved primary healthcare. She has a Masters degree in healthcare administration from
Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad and has six years of experience in healthcare management. Prior to actively being
involved in healthcare management, she was a full fledged physiotherapist serving patients directly as a clinician. The need to
contribute at a large scale to the society made her take up healthcare management as her career. Her career in healthcare management
started with residency programme at Aravind Eye Care System (AECS) - a WHO Collaborating Centre for Prevention of Blindness. In her
tenure at AECS she worked on basic methods of sterilisation techniques in operation theatre (which was published), performance appraisal
system for doctors and service quality in ophthalmic hospitals. After her specified period of residency she went to work in general and
speciality hospitals in India and was as head of operations. Her career at The Cradle, an Apollo franchisee- an unique boutique woman and
child hospital, involved project management, implementation and systems development. Her latest position at Right to Sight, an Irish
charity involved in fight against needless blindness, included capacity building of eye hospitals in Sub Saharan Africa by the principles
of successful eye care models in India. The work also involved advocacy role and networking with high net worth individuals.

Claudia Olsson has a background in International Economics and
Industrial and Energy Engineering. Prior to joining the ACCESS Health
Initiative she worked for the Economic and Social Council at the
United Nations Headquarters in New York and for the Swedish Trade
Council in Eastern Europe. She has managed several international
projects including the Swedish-American Life Science Summit, Project
Peru, Project Make a Difference and the Stockholm International Youth
Science Seminar for the Nobel Foundation. Claudia has lived and worked
in Sweden, Germany, France, Poland and the United States before moving
to India. In 2008, Claudia was nominated as one of Sweden's best
students by the talent network Nova100 and in 2009 she was awarded the
prize "The Energy Student of the Year in Sweden" for a project
focusing on Sustainable Cities. Claudia is currently developing a
replication strategy for one of the ACCESS Health International's
identified health care delivery best practices to make low-cost
high-quality health care available to a broader mass market.

Prabal Singh is focused on health financing. He has done his doctorate programme from Indian Institute of Management, Ahemdabad, through
the Fellow Programme in Management in Public Systems. His thesis looked into the implication of the provider payment system used in the
Chiranjeevi initiative of the Govt. of Gujarat on health service delivery outcomes. He has more than six years of experience in working in the public health sector, both public and private. He has also worked on the National e-Governance Plan of Govternment of India. He has published in refereed International Journals as well.

Priya Anant is focused on models for improved maternal and child health.She has over nine years of experience in design, management and monitoring of
public service delivery programs in India. She has worked on improving contraceptive
prevalence in Uttar Pradesh, improving access to primary health care in over 400 urban
slums and containing the prevalence of HIV among high risk communities. While working with
organizations like
Hindustan Latex Ltd; Government of Andhra Pradesh, Taru Leading Edge
and Byrraju Foundation, she has handled projects funded by USAID, World Bank, European
Commission and DFID. She has also worked on research projects in sectors ranging from agriculture, power and livelihoods. She has a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management from Institute of Rural Management, IRMA and currently, parallel to working with the ACCESS Health International, she pursuing LLB from Osmania University Campus Law College.

Raja Bollineni is focused on health technologies. He holds a Masters in Hospital Management and has 12 years of experience in healthcare field.
Prior to health management he has worked under various capacities as a physical therapist which has involved developing the departments in
hospitals and various disability organizations .He has worked extensively in Sub Saharan African hospital projects as a consultant developing
strategic solutions on organizational sustainability and handled projects funded by Irish Aid-CSF fund. He has also been involved in
developing a national eye care plan for an African country and reviewed national plans for the South East Asia region. He has a keen
interest in technology enabled service delivery mechanisms and supply chain mechanisms.

Bhargav is focused on disease specific and preventive health care models. He has rich experience in quantitative analysis, modeling and a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Prior to joining Access Health International, he worked as a Researcher in International finance for two years at Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. He submitted an evaluation report to the state government on “Arogyasri” insurance scheme and Malaria prevalence in coastal Andhra Pradesh. His interests are Patient centric health care systems and Universal health coverage.

Vasantha Kumar is focused on high-volume low-cost hospitals models and chronic diseases programs. He has a Postgraduate degree in business
administration. Prior to joining Access Health International, he worked as a consultant for five years at Aravind Eye Care System, Madurai.
He was responsible for implementing the “Aravind Model” which is known for its high volume, high quality and low cost health care service
delivery to other parts of the country. He worked in Uttar Pradesh for 2 years and was instrumental in starting and running the hospitals
from the ground. He has also visited African countries which have dire need for health care for capacity building. He has done exclusive
market analysis in Rajasthan & Maharashtra for starting eye hospitals and prepared business proposals. Has wide experience in teaching
health care professionals on modules like patient care management and management system development.

Vijay Kumar Reddy is focused on government contracting; implementation of public private partnerships. He has a vast experience in the health
care sector in India .Being an Ayurvedic doctor he pursued Masters in Business Management in Finance and M Phil in Hospital and Health Systems
Management from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He held various managerial positions in reputed corporate hospitals for
more than 10 years. He was part of EMRI core group since its inception. He was involved in the project conceptualization, implementation and
nationwide expansion of 108 Emergency Response Services. He played a key role in designing the state of art ambulance model suitable for urban
and rural population. He has been associated with Max Healthcare Institute, reputed healthcare consultants in designing and developing public
private partnership models.

Hanna Pernefeldt has a public health background, with specific focus on nutrition, sexual and reproductive health and rights,
maternal and child health, in addition to media and communication. She has a Bachelor of Medicine in Public Health Sciences
from Karolinska Institute and was in the middle of her graduate studies at Uppsala University when the opportunity
in Hyderabad came about. In 2008 she started working for the Haseltine Foundation of
Medical Sciences and the Arts as a technical partner for the Rockefeller Foundation,
identifying innovative health care delivery models in India under the umbrella project
of investigating the private sector’s role in health care delivery.
She is now working full time with the ACCESS Health International and the health care work related to the Centre for Emerging Markets Solutions (CEMS). Her educational background is international and she has lived and worked in both Sweden and the United States.
Previous related jobs and internships have been with RFSU, the Swedish Association for Sexuality Education, and Direct Relief International.
