Joint Learning Network on Universal Health Coverage, India, February 2010
ACCESS Health International hosted a Joint Learning Workshop on Universal Health Coverage in February, 2010. Representatives from Ghana, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam convened to learn from each other on how to manage challenges with universal health coverage. The meeting was a collaboration between Atlantic Philanthropies, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, GTZ, the International Labour Organization, the Providing for Health (P4H) Initiative, the Results for Development Institute, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the World Bank.
 
The Indo-Swedish Health Week, India, February 2010
A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of Health Care and Public Health between the Government of India and Sweden was signed in February 2009. The Indo-Swedish Health Week was arranged from 1-6 February 2010 with the aim to commemorate the completion of one year of the MoU on Health, and to explore and enhance the potential for strengthened collaboration between various stakeholders in the public and private health care sectors in Sweden and India..
 
November 19th - Workshop on Government contracting for improved child survival
This session was hosted by Norway India Partnership Initiative, the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare and ACCESS Health. The aim was to engage leading experts and practitioners from different states in India to discuss and propose how government contracting can improve child survival.
 
The 7th World Congress on Health Economics, China, July 2009
The International Health Economics Association (IHEA) held the 7th World Congress on Health Economics in Beijing on July 12-15, 2009. Health economists from all over the world met to share recent research and discuss issues ranging from affects of single interventions in hospitals to the role of health economists.
 
The Global Health Council, United States, May 2009
The Rockefeller Foundation chaired the session Improving Health Outcomes in Mixed Public-Private Health Systems at the research symposium at the Global Health Council in Washington DC. The ACCESS Health Initiative presented a study of the Health Sector Reform in Andhra Pradesh.
 
The World Economic Forum, Brazil, April 2009
The World Economic Forum's initiative on New Models in Healthcare Delivery hosted a private meeting in association with the Latin America regional meeting.
The ACCESS Health International presented the work performed in India with identification and documentation of innovation in healthcare delivery with an aim to facilitate knowledge transfer and support implementation of best practices. One example was how efficient school health programs developed in India can be implemented in schools in Latin America.
 
Focus Group Meeting, India, January 2009
In January 2009, the ACCESS Health International held a first Focus Group meeting at the Indian School of Business. During this day of in-depth discussions, the topics of Information sharing and Communication, Implementation and the Access to Health Care conference were highlighted.
