Centre for Health Market Innovations
A Centre for Health Market Innovations has been established and the ACCESS Health Initiative manages the South Asia region. The region has complex and largely unregulated health markets. Quality is uneven and there is often lack of financial protection for the poor. The poor often have to finance health care expenditures with loans. Loans that push families into a poverty trap. Intriguing innovations for health care delivery and financing have in recent years evolved. Organizations are scaling delivery models for quality care at low costs. Governments are exploring health financing mechanisms to improve the access to care for the poor. The Centre for Health Market Innovations has been established to address the inadequate information about these innovative delivery and financing mechanisms. The ACCESS Health Initiative will systematically analyze and document evolving solutions in the South Asia region. We encourage you to share your own ideas and experiences. We invite you to join us in the quest for access to high quality health care for all.
